The Camino Aragonés can be quite cold, especially at the start.
From Somport, which is high in the Pyrenees by the French border, the weather can be very cold. Temperatures often fall below freezing and it can snow. You can also expect some sunny but cloudy days, as well as days of snow and freezing rain.
As you go further inland, through Jaca and to Arrés, the weather is still cold but a bit less harsh. There's less chance of snow here, and it's often sunny or partly cloudy. Rain is more likely and can sometimes be heavy.
In places like Ruesta, the temperatures stay pretty stable and it's often partly cloudy. There might be some light freezing rain or snow, and heavier rainfall is possible.
In Sangüesa and Monreal, the weather gets better. It gets warmer with highs reaching up to 10°C. There can still be clouds and rain, ranging from light to heavy.
Finally, in Puente la Reina, the end of the Camino Aragonés, it gets even warmer with highs of around 11°C. Here pilgrims can expect sun with some clouds and occasional light rain. Heavier rain is also possible, but overall there's less rain than at the start of the trail.
