If you're walking the Camino Aragonés path in March, the weather will be a mix of late winter and early spring. You might experience light freezing rain, some heavy snow, a bit of moderate snow, and even sunny days.
Starting in Somport, the weather will be colder. Expect high temperatures around 5°C and lows of about -1°C. Because this place is higher, there’s more chance of snow and freezing rain. It also rains quite a bit, about 4.3 to 9.7 mm/day in the first few days. Remember, the weather can change quickly.
Moving south to Sangüesa, temperatures rise slightly— with highs around 9°C and lows about 3°C. Here, you might see moderate to heavy rain replacing snow. The daily rainfall drops to about 2.5 mm/day.
When you reach Puente la Reina further south, it gets drier and warmer. The highs are usually around 11°C and lows about 2°C. It still rains but less often, and usually it’s light rain. The weather becomes more stable with less big changes and extreme conditions.
So, walking the El Camino Aragonés in March can be challenging because of the changing weather. It starts cold and snowy in the mountains, then gets rainy and ends dry and warmer. There might be some sunny days, but it's better to be ready for any weather.
