Weather in South France is generally nice in October. It's often sunny or a bit cloudy with some rain now and then. Daytime temperatures are around mid to low 20s (°C), dropping to mid-teens at night.
In places like Saint-Gilles and Gallargues-le-Montueux, it's similar but might rain more. Temperatures start to get a bit cooler, with highs in the low 20s and lows in the mid-teens in places like Vendargues and Montpellier.
In Montarnaud and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, there will be some sun and clouds with some rain. Day temperatures are low 20s and night temperatures in mid-teens.
In Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière and Lodève, there might be a bit more sun but also more rain.
In highland towns like Lunas and Saint-Gervais-sur-Mare, temperatures drop a bit more and rain is more common.
The weather is cooler when you proceed towards Murat-sur-Vèbre and La Salvetat-sur-Agout. Temperatures are in the high teens during the day and around 10°C at night. It can rain often, sometimes quite a lot.
From Castres towards Les Cassés and then to Avignonet-Lauragais, daytime temperatures are in the high teens to low 20s and nights are around 10°C. The weather can change a lot, it can be sunny, partly cloudy, and overcast. There could be some rain but usually not too much.
Towards the end, in towns like Baziège, Léguevin, Giscaro, Auch, and L'Isle-de-Noé, the weather can change between sunny and rainy. Day temperatures are usually high teens to low twenties, while nighttime temperatures are around 10°C.
As you reach Somport, it gets quite cold with day temperatures in single digits and night temperatures close to freezing. It can rain and even snow.
