If you plan to walk the Camino de Baztan trail even in summer, get ready for changing weather.

You start your walk in the old city of Bayonne, in France, then cross into Navarra, Spain. Here, temperatures are usually not too hot or cold, around 22°C in daytime and 16-17°C at night. But remember also to bring a raincoat and some light clothes as the weather can change anytime.

Most days, you'll see a mix of sun and clouds. While it's common to have partly sunny weather, sudden rain isn’t rare in this region and can happen even if the forecast didn't predict it.

As you go further south into Navarra, it gets hotter. Daytime temperatures can rise to an average of 27°C in Olagüe. Nights are cooler at around 14°C. Here, it rains less and you're more likely to experience sunny or cloudy days.

Your walk ends in Pamplona, with a similar weather as in Olagüe, but slightly more chances of rain. The usual high temperature is around 25°C and it gets to around 14°C in the night. Like earlier parts of your journey, expect lots of cloudy days but also sunshine in between.

The weather on the Camino de Baztan can change a lot, so pack for different conditions and be ready to adjust your plans.
