Climbing toward Monteleone di Spoleto, temperatures ease to 21–33°C with 12–19°C nights, and cloudier intervals produce occasional moderate rain up to 14 mm amid long sunny stretches.
Entering Lazio at Leonessa, expect mixed cloud and sun with cooler mountain highs of 20–33°C and 13–19°C nights; brief showers are common, with a few heavy falls near 13 mm. Descending through Poggio Bustone to Rieti, heat builds to 26–36°C with 13–20°C nights; showers are sporadic, mostly 1–3 mm, though a local burst near Poggio Bustone can reach about 14 mm. From Collepardo to Casamari and Arpino, the pattern stays hot and bright with highs of 19–36°C, interrupted by showers that can deliver 5–16 mm. Approaching Roccasecca and Montecassino, heat peaks at 23–38°C with nights 11–23°C; most days are clear or partly cloudy, although an isolated day can bring around 10–13 mm before rapid clearing.
