The journey begins in Winchester, where the month sees a balance between periods of sunshine and showers; temperatures fluctuate with highs reaching 23°C and lows dropping to 5°C occasionally. As you proceed to Alresford, dry spells are predominant, with intermittent rain enhancing the pastoral landscape beneath a blend of sun and cloudiness.

Reaching Alton, the weather mirrors the previous locations with more sunny days blended with patchy showers, allowing the landscape to display vibrant greenery. Farnham brings slightly cooler temperatures with frequent rain bursts, especially notable heavy showers mid-month.

In Guildford, the weather pattern continues with heavy rain appearing at intervals, yet pockets of sunshine provide reprieve. As you reach Box Hill, dry and sunny conditions are briefly enjoyed before the skies become overcast again.

From Merstham onwards, the weather is more volatile with frequent bouts of moderate rain showers. Oxted introduces similar conditions as the walk edges toward Otford, where cloud cover and moderate rain persist.

Upon arriving at Wrotham, rain showers bring cooler, cloud-covered skies, which are emblematic of the upcoming stages through Halling and Aylesford. Occasional sunny breaks occur, particularly as the journey approaches Harrietsham. From Boughton Lees onwards, the trail sees a transition into sunnier, less rainy conditions.

Arriving at Chilham, sunny spells frequently intersperse with light drizzle. The weather at Canterbury marks the journey's end, where clouds occasionally part for the sun’s warmth, though sporadic rain ensures water-fed foliage remains lush and vibrant.
