The Camino Catalán route starts at Montserrat Monastery. It goes through places like Igualada, La Panadella, and Tàrrega, then reaches Huesca. In early December, you might see a mix of sunny and partially cloudy days with some rain sometimes. During this period, daytime temperatures are typically around 13°C and at night they can drop to between 3 and 6°C. There's usually not a lot of rain, often less than a millimeter per day.
Next, the route continues to Tamarite de Litera and Monzón. The weather gets a bit colder, with daytime temperatures falling to between 9 and 13°C, and night temperatures to between 0 and 4°C. The weather might vary between sunny and partly cloudy, and there's more chance of rain, sometimes even heavy showers.
Between Berbegal to Bolea and La Peña Estación, temperatures stay about the same, but there's typically more rain, up to an average of 2.7mm. Heavy rain might also be more common in this area.
The weather changes significantly when pilgrims get closer to Santa Cilia and go towards Arrés and Ruesta. Daytime temperatures are generally around 5°C and it can get below zero at night. The forecast could include sun, clouds, and rain more often. It might even snow or the rain may freeze.
The last part of the journey goes through Sangüesa, Monreal and ends at Puente la Reina. Here, daytime temperatures might go back up to an average of 9°C and night temperatures are between 2 and 3°C. The weather is usually cloudy or sunny, and it may rain sometimes. However, there's not a lot of rain, typically less than a millimeter per day.
