If you start walking the Camino Catalán in January, the weather is usually mild. At the beginning of the journey, days can be up to 13°C and as you continue, it gets cooler, around 8°C. At night, it's a lot colder, around 1-3°C, and can drop to -3°C towards the end in Navarra.
In Catalunya, where your journey begins, you'll mostly have sunny and cloudy days and little rain. For example, places like Montserrat, Igualada, and La Panadella are often sunny which makes the start of the route enjoyable.
When you get to the middle of your journey in Aragon, sunny days are still common but the weather can change more. You might have more cloudy days and rain with sometimes heavy showers, mainly in Tamarite de Litera and Berbegal.
In Navarra, it gets even colder, sometimes freezing. The forecast often predicts light freezing rain and heavy snow showers mixed with sunny and cloudy days. The closer you get to Puente la Reina, the more rain you might get, so be ready for heavier rain sometimes.
In total, the weather on the Camino Catalán changes a lot, which makes the journey interesting. The route starts with warm, sunny days in Catalunya, goes to changing weather in Aragon, and ends with cold and rainy days in Navarra.
