Weather forecast for the Dingle Way in April

April on the Dingle Way is changeable: plenty of cloud and passing light showers, punctuated by brighter breaks and the odd sunny spell. Bands of rain still arrive from the Atlantic at times, and a few days can turn thoroughly wet, but many others offer long dry windows. Temperatures feel cool to mild overall, fresh in any breeze and more comfortable when the sun comes through. Very occasionally a wintry, sleety burst can crop up on higher ground, but it’s brief. Expect a mixed sky, frequent drizzle or light rain, and the chance of clearer evenings.

Beginning in Tralee and over to Camp and Annascaul, the pattern is mostly cloudy with frequent light showers or drizzle, interrupted by brighter spells. Short pulses of heavier rain can pass through, but there are also stretches that stay largely dry. Through this first stretch, days tend to feel cool to mild, with fresher moments under thicker cloud.

From Annascaul out to Dingle and around Slea Head to Dunquin, conditions stay changeable. You’ll see a back‑and‑forth between dry, brighter interludes and bands of rain moving in off the ocean, with drizzle common on the coast. When skies open, views are crisp; when fronts arrive, rain can set in for a time.

Turning north toward Feothanach and on to Cloghane, cloud often dominates again, with light drizzle or light rain cropping up. Some days bring steadier rain, but breaks do appear, giving dry walking for a few hours at a time. Exposed stretches can feel blustery, while sheltered lanes are calmer and a touch milder.

Along Brandon Bay by Castlegregory and back toward Tralee, expect the same mixed setup: overcast spells, scattered showers, and occasional clearer periods. Heavier bursts still occur, yet many hours can pass with only light drizzle or none at all. The loop finishes much as it started—variable skies, passing showers, and the chance of a bright finish if timing aligns.
