The Camino de Finisterre route starts in Santiago de Compostela. In May, the weather can change a lot. It can be cloudy, sunny, and rainy. The temperature is usually mild, with average high temperatures ranging from 15°C at the starting point, slowly going up to about 19°C along the way. At night, it gets colder, with average temperatures around 7-8°C.
During the first part of the route, in places like Santiago de Compostela and Negreira, you may see different kinds of weather, from sunny to cloudy, and even some rain.
Later on, in places like Olveiroa, Corcubión, and Fisterra, the weather can also change a lot. It can be cloudy, sunny, and sometimes rainy. Keep in mind, places near the coast, like Corcubión and Fisterra, tend to get a bit more rain than average, more than 2.5mm.
So, when you walk the Camino de Finisterre in May, be ready for changing weather and mild to cool temperatures.
