The Camino Francés walking trail has various kinds of weather in October. It starts in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, where there can be a mix of sun and rain. Here, temperatures can range from 14°C to 21°C.
As you walk towards Navarre and La Rioja, you'll mostly see sunny days with some clouds. Sometimes, there may be heavy rain. During this part, the temperatures can be anywhere from 10°C to 21°C.
Walking through Castille and León, the temperatures might drop a little. Here it's usually sunny but there may be some light rain. Temperatures are about 18°C at the highest and 8°C at the lowest.
When reaching Galicia, it gets colder and rains more, with highest temperatures at about 16°C and lowest at about 10°C. Towards the end, at Santiago de Compostela, it's the coldest, with temperatures from 9°C to 14°C and the highest chance of rain. The weather can change quickly, from rain to overcast skies or even sunny days.
Overall, the Camino Francés trail has different types of weather, from sunny to heavy rain. Temperatures are comfortable, getting cooler as you walk west. The last part of the walk, in Galicia, is known for the most rain.
