Weather forecast for the Camino de Santiago Francés in April

If you start your trip from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela in April, you'll see different kinds of weather.

At the beginning, in the Basque Country and Navarre, it might rain a lot. You may see some sun but mostly it will be cloudy. Temperature can be between 9°C and 15°C.

Next, when you travel through La Rioja and Castile and León, you'll see more sun but it's still possible for it to rain. The temperature gets slightly higher, up to 17°C. But at night, it might fall to around 5°C.

Lastly, when you reach Galicia, the weather can change quickly. Sometimes it's sunny, sometimes it's cloudy, and it also rains a lot. Near Santiago de Compostela, it might rain lightly. The temperature is usually between 15-19°C but can go down to 5-8°C.

Regardless of where you are, expect a mix of sun, clouds, and rain.

This overview is for an early April start, walking the standard stages.
But, I'll be happy to make one specifically for this forecast.
