From Belorado toward Burgos, expect grey skies with intermittent drizzle and, at times, brief flurries on the higher stretches. Crossing the open country through Hornillos, Castrojeriz, Frómista and Carrión, overcast conditions are common with occasional light rain and raw mornings. Near León, weak fronts pass with patches of drizzle or light rain, separated by quieter, dry intervals. At O Cebreiro, the pattern flips quickly, with low cloud, showers, and at times sleet or snow. On the descent toward Triacastela and Sarria, Atlantic air brings frequent drizzle and showers, and heavier bursts can sweep through. Around Portomarín, Palas de Rei and Arzúa, days swing between overcast and showery with brief sunny windows. Approaching Santiago, the showery rhythm continues under mostly cloudy skies; temperatures are generally cool.
