Starting from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and ending in Santiago de Compostela, the Camino Francés route goes through different areas with different weather types.
In the Pyrenees region in July, you could see a bit of everything: partly cloudy and sunny days, overcast skies and some rain. Typical temperatures are between 22°C in the day and 16°C at night. Rain is usually light.
When you leave the mountains and enter the Navarre and La Rioja areas, the weather doesn't change much: you may still have sunny, cloudy, and some rainy days. However, it usually gets hotter during the day - about 26-28°C - and a bit colder at night - around 14°C. There may be less rain, but some heavier showers can occur.
Reaching Castile and León, you will probably see lots of sunny days and experience less rain. However, occasional rain showers are still possible. It typically gets hotter, about 26-32°C during the day, and slightly colder at night, about 12-16°C.
In Galicia, the last part of the Camino Francés, expect changing weather. There are days with a bit of rain, sunshine, and clouds where a cloudy sky is pretty common. The weather starts getting cooler, about 22-27°C during the day and 12-16°C at night.
Overall, the Camino Francés weather in July is typically warm, and sometimes hot in the middle part, with both sunny and partly cloudy days. There can be rain throughout the trip.
