Weather forecast for the Camino de Santiago Francés in August

Starting in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in August, you might experience some sun, clouds, and a little rain. The temperature usually goes up to 24°C and down to 17°C. This weather will be the same when you go through Roncesvalles, Zubiri, and Pamplona, except you may see more sun.

When you get to places like Estella and Los Arcos, the weather might get a bit hotter, with maximum temperatures around 30°C and less chance of rain. You'll still get plenty of sun when reaching Logroño, Nájera, and Santo Domingo de la Calzada, with a small chance of rain. Here, the temperature could go up to 27-28°C and down to 14-15°C.

Burgos is cooler with less rain. The average temperature is around 26°C. This drier weather continues as you travel to Hornillos del Camino, Castrojeriz, and Frómista.

On the way to Carrión de los Condes, the weather slightly warms up to around 29°C. In Terradillos de los Templarios, Bercianos del Real Camino, and Mansilla de las Mulas, it'll be very sunny with a small chance of rain.

When you arrive in León and Astorga, you can expect a lot of sun and some rain. As you climb to Foncebadón and Ponferrada, the temperature drops to 26°C and it may rain more.

Towards the end of your journey, in locations like O Cebreiro, Triacastela, Sarria, and Portomarín, the weather will change often. It could be cloudy or rainy, and the temperature will range from 24-27°C.

Near the end of your trip at Palas de Rei, Arzúa, O Pedrouzo, and Santiago de Compostela, you can expect varied weather of sun, clouds, and some rain with temperatures from 24-25°C.
