Navarre

Crossing the Pyrenees, the weather is changeable: low cloud, mist, and passing drizzle are common, with the odd short downpour. As you drop into the valleys and move toward the plains, skies open and days turn sunnier, with warm to hot afternoons. Showers or brief thunderstorms can bubble up after a hot spell, especially near the hills, but they tend to move through quickly. Typical daytime temperatures run from the mid‑20s to mid‑30s °C.

La Rioja

Across the vineyards the pattern is mostly settled: long sunny stretches and dry air dominate. Afternoons heat up on the exposed paths, while mornings are comfortable and nights stay mild. A stray shower or short storm can pass, but rain is usually brief and localized. Expect daytime temperatures in the upper‑20s to low‑30s °C.

Castile and León

Leaving the Burgos area, cloud and sun trade places and breezes pick up, then the Meseta settles into a dry, high‑sky routine. Days are long, very sunny, and often hot, with an occasional burst of gusty wind or a fast‑moving storm line that drops a short, heavy shower. Near León the heat often persists, then the climb toward the Montes de León around Foncebadón brings fresher air, more cloud, and a higher chance of a brief shower or foggy start. Dropping into the Bierzo valley it turns warmer and more settled again, with typical daytime temperatures from the high‑20s to mid‑30s °C.

Galicia

The entry at O Cebreiro is often cool and cloudy, with mist, drizzle, and occasional bursts of rain around the ridges. As you lose height toward Sarria and Portomarín, clouds break more often and you get a mix of bright spells and passing showers. Farther west, Atlantic influence brings frequent morning overcast or light drizzle around Arzúa, though warm sunny afternoons are common between weak fronts. Overall, days range from the high‑teens to upper‑20s °C, cooler on exposed high points.
