If you plan to travel from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela on the Camino Francés, the weather is usually, cool to warm with occasional rain.
During your journey, you will see a mix of weather conditions. The weather often changes, with periods of light rain, clouds, and clear sunny moments. Mostly, the sky is either partially cloudy or fully cloudy.
The temperature is suitable for walking. Average high temperatures are normally in the mid 20°Cs, providing a comfortable warmth, and the minimum temperatures are usually in the mid-teens, mostly at night. However, in places like Palas de Rei and Santiago de Compostela, the morning and evening temperatures can sometimes drop to about 12-13°C.
Rain is common along this path, but it's usually light rather than heavy, especially around Sarria. Even though the weather can be a bit wet, the rain is rarely heavy enough to stop you from walking.
Starting two weeks before your Camino begins, we’ll email you an updated weather forecast for each day of your journey, based on the newest data. Stay prepared for whatever the trail may bring!
