Starting in Lausanne, in early spring, you might have cloudy or rainy days, and maybe even some snow. The temperature can be as low as 3°C or as high as 11°C.
As you walk through the southern part of Switzerland and into northern Italy, the weather will mostly stay the same with a mix of sun, clouds, and rain, and the temperature will get a little warmer, around 15°C.
When you reach central Italy and cities like Siena and San Gimignano, you will likely have more sunny days and less rain. The temperature will be around 20°C during the day and cooler at night.
By the time you get to Rome, there will be more and more sunny days with some rain now and then. The temperature can get as high as 24°C.
So, if you're walking from Switzerland to Italy, be ready for different weather types like light snow, rain, or clear, sunny days, and the weather will generally get warmer as you walk.
