The route goes through the places Vevey, Aigle, and Saint-Maurice where the weather stays similar. But the temperature usually drops a bit to an average of around 16°C to 6°C in Martigny as it gets higher.
Next, the path goes through Orsières and col du Grand-Saint-Bernard. Here, there are more cloudy days and the temperature gets lower. Sometimes it snows and it can be as cold as 3°C.
In Italy, the path goes from Aosta to Santhià. The weather here gets gradually sunnier and warmer, with temperatures between 16°C and 25°C. It may rain sometimes, but usually not much.
