Lazio

Starting in Roma, the weather alternates between sunshine, cloud cover, and occasional moderate rain. Temperatures range from 15°C to 22°C. Moving into Castel Gandolfo and Velletri, the pattern continues with more sunny days interspersed with heavy rain showers. As the journey progresses through Cori to Sermoneta, there is a noticeable increase in rain showers, with highs between 14°C and 21°C.

In Sezze, it remains mostly sunny with brief periods of rain. Abbazia di Fossanova onward to Terracina experiences a mix of dry and wet days with moderate rain at times. Towards Fondi and Itri, there is a continuation of patchy rain, with temperatures fluctuating between 13°C and 20°C.

Campania

Beginning in Sessa Aurunca, the weather features overcast conditions and moderate rain showers, transitioning to sunnier skies in Teano with occasional heavy rain. In Statigliano and Alife, periods of sunshine alternate with rainy spells, keeping humidity relatively high. This pattern persists through Faicchio and Telese Terme, with highs reaching from 13°C to 24°C.

Apulia

As the trail continues into Apulia, starting in Celle San Vito and Troia, sunny days become more frequent, punctuated by moderate to heavy rain showers. Castelluccio dei Sauri through Ordona sees a similar pattern, with showers bringing rainfall totals on select days and temperatures reaching the mid-teens to mid-20°Cs.

Moving deeper into the region, places like Stornara and Canosa experience an increase in sunny intervals, although occasional rain still occurs. The temperatures rise towards the mid-20°Cs, providing relatively warm conditions. As one approaches the coastal area from Andria to Bari, sunny days dominate, with infrequent rain showers contributing to a dynamic weather mix.

Finally, from Mola di Bari to Monopoli and onward to Savelletri, sunny conditions are prevalent, yet moderate rain is possible on some days. As the journey nears Leuca, there is an increasing trend of settled weather interrupted by patchy rain, making for a gentle conclusion to the trail's weather profile.

This overview is for an early April start, walking the standard stages.
