The Vía Gebennensis usually has mild weather in March. During the day, temperatures are between 8°C and 12°C, while at night they can be between -1°C and 3°C. The weather can change a lot, with both sunny and cloudy periods. There is a high chance of rain on most days, sometimes light and sometimes heavy. There might also be some snow in higher areas.
As the path goes from southern Switzerland to southeastern France, the weather changes with the landscape. Near the Alps, there could be more snow or freezing rain, but as you go to lower areas, it rains more and the temperatures are slightly warmer. In general, the farther south you go, the more rain you will see, but there will also be some sunny breaks.
