Nouvelle-Aquitaine

From the Atlantic coast the air feels humid, with a lot of cloud, drizzle or light rain mixed with bright intervals; days are generally warm and nights mild. Crossing the foothills, sun and cloud trade places and short showers are frequent, with the odd heavier burst before skies open again. Near the higher valleys and passes the air cools at altitude and the pattern swings between clear windows and sudden downpours, with occasional longer, grey spells of steady rain. Temperatures sit mostly in the high teens to high 20s°C, cooler on high cols and during wet spells.

Occitanie

Over the high central chain, mornings often start bright before clouds build; showers are regular and can turn into longer rain on some days, while passes remain notably cooler between sunny interludes. Further east across the inner ranges, dry spells lengthen and heat builds in sheltered valleys, though brief heavy showers can still pop up near the ridges. Closer to the Mediterranean it turns hot and largely dry under strong sun, with only isolated, short-lived showers and warm nights at low elevation. Expect a broad range from the low 20s to mid-30s°C in the valleys, with cooler conditions on high ground.
