If you plan to walk the Camino de Invierno, expect different weather as you go. Generally, it's mildly cold, with temperatures from 7°C to 13°C and lowest from 0°C to 5°C.

You might find a cold start in Ponferrada and Las Médulas with possible snow, rain and sunny periods. As you move through O Barco de Valdeorras and A Rúa de Valdeorras, expect the same mix of sun and rain.

The weather gets slightly warmer at Quiroga with less freezing rain. But there'll still be sunshine, rain, and cloudy times as you go through A Pobra do Brollón and Monforte de Lemos.

At Chantada, you'll start experiencing more rain showers, which carries on through Rodeiro and Lalín. Expect more rain at Silleda and Outeiro, with the weather changing between sunny, rainy and cloudy.

Finally, in Santiago de Compostela, brace for heavy rain and some sun. Temperatures here are warmer, averaging between 11°C and 4°C. This area has more rain due to its coastal climate. So, you'll experience a mix of cool to mild weather and on-and-off rain on this trip.
