The John Muir Trail in June has different weather because it goes through various elevations in the Sierra Nevada. Most days are sunny, but sometimes there will be rain or clouds. Snow can happen, but it is rare and mostly at high elevations.
Temperatures on the trail range from the high 30s to 50s at night and from the low 60s to mid-70s during the day. It does not rain much, usually only a tiny amount each day. But at higher elevations, the weather can change more, with both temperatures and rain being less predictable.
Places like Tuolumne Meadow and Donahue Pass get a bit more rain compared to lower parts of the trail. In contrast, areas like McClure Meadow and Wright Creek are warmer and drier.
Overall, the weather is usually good for hiking, but be ready for changes, especially in higher areas where it can get colder and rain more often.
