Beginning from the inland start, conditions are typically overcast with on-and-off drizzle or light rain, and only short clear interludes. Daytime temperatures usually sit around the mid single digits to low teens Celsius, while nights can edge near freezing in sheltered stretches. In colder snaps, showers may turn to sleet or wet snow on nearby hills.

Continuing through the interior toward the northern side of the loop, the pattern stays cloudy and unsettled. Light drizzle alternates with moderate rain, and colder incursions can bring bursts of wet snow, occasionally heavier on higher sections. Between fronts there are quieter lulls, but sunshine is limited.

Turning west and then south along the coast, it becomes milder but wetter. Expect frequent light rain and heavy drizzle, with some periods of steady, heavier rain that can last for hours. Dry windows are shorter here, and cloud tends to hang in through the day.

Swinging east toward the head of the bay and back inland to close the loop, the mix toggles between dull, damp stretches and brief brighter breaks. Bands of moderate rain still move through, and heavier pulses are possible around the bays. As elevation rises again near the finish, showers and drizzle persist, and a colder snap can reintroduce sleet or brief snow flurries on surrounding hills.
