The Kumano Kodō - Nakahechi route usually has mild temperatures between 6°C and 15°C in March. The average rainfall is usually more than 8 mm per day, and sometimes it can go up to about 12.7 mm per day in some areas.
Starting from Takijiri-oji and passing through Takahara and Tsugizakura-oji, you will see a mix of cloudy skies and some sunshine. Rain is quite likely, especially at the beginning of the route. As you get to Kumano Hongu Taisha and Koguchi, rain is still common, but there can be sunny breaks too.
