Starting in the north around Abisko and up to the Alesjaure plateau, days swing between overcast and showery with occasional brighter windows. Light snow can mix in on higher ground, especially over open plateaus, while valleys tend to see drizzle or light rain. By day it’s roughly 5–15°C, with cold nights that can dip to freezing on exposed terrain.

Across Tjäktja Pass and down through Sälka and Singi, the high country sees frequent mixed precipitation: drizzle turning to sleet or snow in cooler spells, then back to showers. Some days bring steadier, soaking rain, but breaks do occur, especially lower in the valleys where it can feel briefly milder. Cloud often lingers, and wet ground is common after passing showers.

From the lake districts around Sitojaure and into the forested sections toward Aktse, Pårte, and Kvikkjokk, unsettled weather dominates. Expect long periods of low cloud with light to moderate rain, at times intensifying into prolonged downpours. Colder snaps can deliver wet snow or sleet even at lower elevations, though clearer interludes occasionally open views and calm conditions.

South of Jäkkvik through Pieljekaise and the Tärnasjö–Syter–Viterskalet high ground to Hemavan, the pattern stays mixed. Showery, overcast days are punctuated by a few brighter spells, but stronger systems can bring heavy rain and recurrent early-season snow on higher ridges. Valleys vary from damp and cool to briefly mild when the cloud lifts, while nights are often cold with frequent frosty starts. The final approach remains unsettled, with snow flurries possible on the tops and light rain more typical in the lower reaches.
