Starting from Alicante with its warm climate, the Ruta de la Lana typically has weather in the 20-30s°C and is mostly sunny. As you pass through areas like Orito, Petrer, and Caudete, the temperature can get up to around 34°C.
Moving through Almansa and Alpera, you might encounter some rain but it's not likely. The temperature might decrease slightly to around 30-32°C.
Beyond Alatoz, expect more varied weather. Heavy showers might occur amidst sunny days and temperatures continue to stay in the low 30s. This is also true for places like Casas Ibáñez and Villarta.
Going through Monteagudo de las Salinas and Campillo de Altobuey, temperatures are cooler, sometimes around 30°C. Weather is mainly sunny but there might be some unexpected rain.
In areas like Cuenca, Bascuñana de San Pedro and Villaconejos de Trabaque, the average temperature is high 20s to low 30s. It’s usually sunny with some rainfall and clouds every now and then.
Between Salmerón and Mandayona, temperatures are usually in the low 30s. Expect sun with some chances of rain or cloudy skies.
Going through Atienza, and Retortillo de Soria, temperatures drop significantly, to around 20°C. Cloudy skies and rain are common, overshadowing sunny weather.
Going to San Esteban de Gormaz and Quintanarraya, expect cooler weather around mid to high 20s°C.
The final part of the walk, through Santo Domingo de Silos and Mecerreyes to Burgos, has temperatures around mid-20s°C. Expect more rain and clouds compared to sunny weather.
