If you are planning to walk the Camino de Le Puy in June, you should be prepared for all kinds of weather. The starting point, Le Puy-en-Velay in central France, is usually mild with average temperatures ranging from 8°C to 18°C. You might experience both sunny and rainy days, with mostly clouded skies.
As you begin moving towards Saint-Privat-d'Allier and Saugues, it gets a bit warmer with temperatures up to 20°C and a low around 9°C. Be ready for potential rain, sometimes heavy.
In Aumont-Aubrac and then in Saint-Côme-d'Olt, the weather still remains cool with high temperatures around 19°C and lows around 8°C. Heavy rain may be more common.
Walking further to Estaing and the area around Conques and Livinhac-le-Haut, you will feel the weather gets warmer, up to 22°C, and heavy rainfall can happen at times. You may have mixed weather with sun, clouds, and rain.
Proceeding to Figeac, you can expect the most rainfall, with an average of 8.6 mm. The next region, Cajarc, has increasing temperatures, up to 25°C. Despite potential sunny days, there will likely be moderate to heavy rain showers.
When you reach the Spanish border, moving through Arzacq-Arraziguet and Navarrenx, you will find more stable weather with sunny days and warmth of up to 27°C. Here, the rain is less common.
Finally, as you end your journey in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, the weather can remain sunny with stable temperatures, but you may experience clouds and a lot of rain.
