Weather forecast for the Vía Podiensis in October

The Le Puy pilgrimage route in October usually has nice, cool weather good for walking. Temperatures are around 6-21°C. The weather can change a lot, from sunny to rainy.

In the first part, from Le Puy-en-Velay to Nasbinals, it might be cooler, with daytime temperatures from 15-17°C and night temperatures around 6-7°C. The sky may be overcast and rainy, so bring the right clothes.

Next, from Nasbinals to Figeac, it might get a bit warmer, with highs around 18°C. But, there can still be medium to heavy rain showers.

Then, from Figeac to Auvillar, it may get warmer, with temperatures from 17-21°C. There can be sunny days, but also some rain.

The last part, from Lectoure to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, tends to be warmer, with temperatures around 19-20°C. There can be some rain, but also periods of sun.

Throughout, expect some rain showers, with rainfall from 0.2 mm to 6.9 mm. However, there can also be many sunny days and partly cloudy skies.

This overview is for an early October start, walking the standard stages.
