The weather is quite cold at the start, with temperatures between 4 to 14 degrees Celsius. It gets even colder at night, often below freezing. You can also expect a mix of winter weather, like snow, and freezing rain.
As you walk through towns like Aumont-Aubrac and Nasbinals, there might be more snow. The weather here is usually winter-like. Also, expect many cloudy days as you go through this part of the trail.
As the path takes you towards Cajarc and Varaire, temperatures start to go up with highs until 9 degrees Celsius and rain becomes more common with heavy rainfall at times. You'll see less snow and freezing weather, but rain showers will become more frequent.
In the last part of the journey, walking through cities like Moissac, Auvillar, and Lectoure, you'll see more sunny days, but also expect on and off rain showers. Even in towns like Aire-sur-l'Adour and Arzacq-Arraziguet towards the end of your journey, there might be sunny weather but remember, rain is also possible. This continues until you reach Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.
The daily amount of rain changes but stays within a few millimeters. Some days might be wet and muddy or icy, and others might be dry.
Overall, your journey begins with colder weather and possible snow, slowly becomes warmer with possible rain, with some sun throughout.
