The trip starts in the coastal town of San Vicente de la Barquera in Cantabria, where the temperature is usually between 17°C and 22°C. Here, you might experience both rainy and sunny days.
When you reach the mountains around Cades, Cicera, and Espinama, you might experience more sun, but there might be some rain too. The temperature might be a little higher, around 17°C to 23°C.
Going further to towns like Portilla de la Reina, Riaño, and Crémenes in Castile and León, the weather is less predictable. While there are many sunny days, be ready for possible heavy rain. At night, it could be colder, about 13°C, but during the day it could go up to 24°C.
The final part of the route towards Gradefes and Mansilla de las Mulas is usually hotter and drier. Sunny days are common, with just a chance of some rain. Daytime temperatures can reach 29°C, while nights are around 14°C.
In general, the Camino Lebaniego has different kinds of weather, from sunny to rainy days, with a gradual decrease in rain as you go inland.
