If you're planning to walk the Camino Lebaniego, here's what you should know about the weather. In September, the temperature usually stays between 22 to 25°C, which is comfortable for walking. However, in places like Crémenes, Gradefes, and Mansilla de las Mulas, it can be as cold as 11°C.
The Camino starts in San Vicente de la Barquera, which tends to be sunny or partly cloudy. The same goes for the next stops, Cades, Cicera, and Potes. Here, there will be mostly sun, but sometimes, there may be a little rain.
Next, you'll visit Espinama, Portilla de la Reina, Riaño, and Crémenes. The weather here changes a lot. Some days will be sunny, some will be cloudy and on others, it might rain. There may also be heavy rainfall, but this doesn't happen often.
Finally, in the last parts of the Camino, Cistierna, Gradefes, and Mansilla de las Mulas, the weather is mostly sunny. It hardly ever rains there.
In general, there's not much rain on this walk. There's a bit more when you move from Portilla to Riaño (about 2.8mm on average) but less in places like Crémenes.
