In August, the Likya Yolu trail experiences a mix of weather patterns along its route. The early days in Ovacik see mostly sunny skies, interspersed with occasional rain showers. As one progresses through the various localities, the weather remains predominantly sunny, but rain showers become more frequent towards the end of the month. Temperatures generally range between 29°C and 39°C, with lows around 22°C to 27°C. Rainfall varies from trace amounts to heavier showers in some segments, especially in areas like Xanthos and Citdibi, where heavier rain is noted.
Starting from Ovacik, the trail experiences mostly sunny weather with occasional moderate rain showers. Temperatures hover between 30°C to 37°C. As one moves to Kabak, the trend of sunny weather continues, with minor rain disruptions and temperatures slightly cooler at times.
Further along at Sidyma, moderate showers break the cycle of sunny days, with highs reaching up to 39°C. Pydnai and Xanthos receive similar weather patterns, though Xanthos experiences heavier rainfall on specific days.
Uzumlu sees a mix of sunshine and sporadic heavy rain, then moving to Patara, the weather returns to mainly sunny with some patchy rain later on. From Saribelen to Gokceoren, the weather displays a similar pattern of clear skies and scattered showers, with temperatures consistently in the low to mid-30s°C.
As the trail progresses to Ucagiz and Cayagazi, patchy rain persists amid sunny periods. At Myra and Kirkmerdiven, the temperatures are warmer, reaching up to 38°C, though days of heavy rain can abruptly change the dry spells.
With Finike and Karaoz, conditions remain predominantly sunny but with some instances of intermittent rain. Adrasan faces a day of moderate rain amidst sunny and clear days, while Cirali and Beycik experience days with potential showers before returning to predominantly sunny weather.
Yayla Kuzdere and Goynuk Yayla are characterized by mostly sunny conditions, interspersed with heavier rain. Moving towards the end of the trail at Elmayani Pinari and Citdibi, there are continued episodes of heavy rain showers intermingled with sunbreaks.
Finally, at Geyikbayiri, the month rounds off with predominantly sunny weather with potential for light rain towards the very end.
