The Camino de Madrid starts in the hot and sunny city of Madrid and ends in Santiago de Compostela. Madrid's average temperatures can reach 30 degrees Celsius or more. As you travel north, temperatures slightly decrease.
The weather stays mostly sunny with a bit of rain as you pass through towns like Tres Cantos and Manzanares el Real. Night temperatures here are about 19 degrees Celsius.
When you reach mountain areas like Cercedilla, you'll experience cooler temperatures, with highs in the mid-20s and lows in the early teens. The weather can range from sunny, partly cloudy, to lightly rainy.
Further along in Segovia, Santa María la Real de Nieva, and Coca, you'll have sunny days, temperatures around 30 degrees, and moderate rain chances. More clouds and light rain are expected as you get towards Alcazarén and Puente Duero.
As you walk through the Castilla y León region, expect sun and clouds. Temperatures will be stable with lows in their teens and highs in their low 30s. Rain is possible but not common.
Once you get to Sahagún and León, temperatures start to decrease a bit and there will be more cloudy and rainy days. Here, the highs are in the late 20s and lows are in the early teens.
The last part of the journey to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia is challenging as the weather changes often. It can be sunny or it can rain. Temperatures here can go as high as mid-20s and lows are usually in the mid-teens. The weather overall is cooler with more rain and cloud cover.
