The Madrid Camino route goes from Madrid, through Segovia and Valladolid, up into northwest Spain, ending at Santiago de Compostela. The weather on this route varies a lot, especially in autumn.
When starting in Madrid and its surroundings, the weather is usually sunny or sometimes cloudy, with nice temperatures between 17°C and 25°C. Rain is rare in this area.
As you go north to places like Cercedilla and Peñaflor de Hornija, the weather is cooler, with temperatures dropping to 7°C. There may be a bit more rain in these areas but still, not much.
In the Castilian plains, which include areas like Cuenca de Campos and Sahagún, the temperatures can go down to 6-7°C. Rain also becomes more common here, but the usual weather is still sunny or partly cloudy.
As you get near Leon province, in cities like Mansilla de las Mulas and Astorga, expect more rain and temperatures between 7°C and 17°C. The weather stays cool and wet in the next areas, Foncebadón and Ponferrada, and heavy rains may occur.
In the mountain areas of O Cebreiro, the weather varies widely, with a lot of heavy rain showers and low temperatures that can go down to 7°C. But sunny days are still common.
Finally, during the last part across Galicia, places like Sarria, Portomarín, and Santiago de Compostela have more rainy weather, with temperatures between 9°C and 19°C. Despite the rain, the Camino ends with mostly sunny weather in Santiago de Compostela.
