When you go on the Cammino Materano, you can typically expect good weather. The average high is usually around 23-24°C and it rarely gets cooler than the mid-teens.
On most days, there's a lot of sun. Sometimes, you can have partly cloudy days, and there might be some rain. As you move on your journey, you may encounter rain more often.
When you move from Bitetto to Cassano Delle Murge and then to Santeramo In Colle, you'll see a slight increase in average daily rain. However, when you get to the end of your trip, as you approach Matera, there'll be less chance of rain and more sun.
Picciano may have more rain than other places. But generally, you'll have a mostly dry and comfortable journey on the Camino Materano, with only occasional rain breaks.
