Rhineland-Palatinate

From the Rhine gateway into the Moselle valley, days often start grey with on-and-off drizzle or light rain, then open to brighter breaks between passing bands of cloud. Along the river past the first vineyard towns, you see a stop-start pattern: several mostly cloudy days, then a clearer one with longer sunny spells. When the sun appears, it warms quickly, but showers can still develop later. Daytime temperatures mostly sit in the mid-teens to low 20s °C, while nights remain on the cool side.

Continuing through the middle Moselle toward Trier and the Saar-Moselle corner, the changeable rhythm continues. There are stretches that stay dry for many hours, followed by brief showery pulses, and at times a heavier burst of rain as systems move through. Sunny interludes are common enough between showers, and visibility is generally good despite the cloud. By the border near Perl, conditions still alternate between overcast spells and brighter windows, with rainfall arriving more as showers than as all-day rain.

Grand Est

Crossing into Grand Est toward Kédange, Vigy and Metz, the same spring pattern carries on: plenty of cloud, frequent light showers or drizzle, and occasional moderate rain. Dry, brighter intervals develop between systems, and a couple of days can feel distinctly warmer before the next showery spell. Temperatures are comparable to the Moselle stretch, generally in the mid-teens to low 20s °C, with cool nights.
