When you start out in Almería, September is generally hot during the day and cool at night. The average temperature is about 29°C in the day and 22°C at night. This part of the Camino Mozárabe is usually dry and sunny, with a small chance of rain or cloudiness.
As you get further into the country to places like Abla, Huéneja, and Alquife, it gets a bit cooler. The average temperature is about 23°C in the day and 13°C at night. Rain is a little more likely in these areas, which sometimes have moderate to strong rain showers.
The area around Guadix has mixed weather. The average daytime temperature is about 22°C to 25°C and the night temperature is around 14°C to 15°C. Even though there are still many sunny days, there is a noticeable increase in the chance of moderate rain and a few cloudy days.
When you get to Granada and Córdoba, in the heart of Andalusia, the weather will change a bit. The daytime temperatures range from highs of 29°C to 31°C and night temperatures from 15°C to 19°C. Once again, sunny days are more common, but there can be light showers, and sometimes the sky might be cloudy or overcast.
In Baena and Castro del Río, you'll see some changes. The average high temperatures vary from 28°C to 31°C and lows from 16°C to 18°C. Although there are mostly sunny days, the possibility of scattered rain and some partly cloudy days increases.
When you reach the end of the Camino Mozárabe, in towns like Alcaracejos, Hinojosa del Duque, and Mérida in Extremadura, the weather will mostly be sunny, with some partly cloudy days and a few heavier rain showers. Daytime temperature will be around 26°C to 28°C and at night about 15°C to 17°C. Sometimes it might rain hard.
