In October, the Camino Olvidado experiences varied weather conditions across its regions. In the Basque Country, Bilbao sees a mix of sunny and cloudy days with some precipitation. As the trail progresses into Castile and León, the climate remains diverse with notable rainfall possible, alternating between sunny intervals and cloudy spells. Temperatures vary significantly throughout the trail, reflecting the changing elevations and geographical features encountered along the route.
Starting in Bilbao, the weather in October is characterized by a blend of sunny and partly cloudy days. Rainfall is intermittent, with moderate and heavy rain occurring at intervals. Temperatures range from 17°C to 30°C during the day, while nights cool down slightly.
Beginning in Güeñes, each locality experiences its own unique weather pattern. Güeñes has sunny days interrupted by occasional rain showers. Moving on to Nava de Ordunte, the pattern continues with sunny stretches broken by heavy rain periods. As the trail progresses through Bercedo and Quintanilla del Rebollar, cloud cover increases and precipitation becomes more frequent.
