The Camino Olvidado has a friendly climate in September. It often has a mix of sunny and cloudy days with some rain, but heavy rain isn't common. The rainiest times usually happen in the middle of the trip.

At the start in the Basque Country, the temperature is normally between 17°C and 23°C. The weather often alternates between some rain and cloudy skies.

Traveling inland to Castilla y León, the temperature stays about the same, between 12-17°C and 22-25°C. The weather changes more often here, with equal chances of sunny, cloudy, or rainy days. This region also experiences a bit more rain on average.

In the later part of the journey through Castilla y León towards León province, it gets a bit colder, with temperatures between 10-12°C and 21-24°C. The weather becomes sunnier, but there are still some cloudy days and rain showers. This part of the walk is the driest, with rain usually less than 1.6 mm per day.

Lastly, in the Bierzo region where the route ends, there are still mostly sunny days. However, it can get cloudy, and a little rain is common. Even though there's a small increase in rain, the temperature is cool enough for a pleasant walk, staying around 11°C and 22-24°C.
