Navarra

Starting out, skies are often overcast with light drizzle or light rain; short brighter windows appear between showers. Through the foothills, showers remain common and can build to moderate bursts, but there are also dry stretches under broken cloud. Temperatures usually sit in the teens to low 20s, with cooler, damp-feeling mornings.

Álava

On entering Álava, the weather turns more variable day to day: sunny intervals one moment, then a band of rain moving through. Heavier rain is possible at times, but clear, calm spells also crop up and can last a good part of a day. It stays broadly mild, most often in the teens to low 20s, with a noticeable lift when the sun breaks out.

Castile and León

As you leave the Basque country into wider valleys and gorges, settled windows become longer between systems, and skies can be bright and clear for stretches. Showers still develop, with some days seeing multiple light showers and the odd heavier burst; other days stay mostly dry with high cloud. A few warm spells feel almost summery before the next change rolls in. Temperatures generally run in the mid-teens to mid-20s, occasionally higher during the sunniest spells.

Cantabria

Crossing into Cantabria, the pattern turns cloudier and damper again, with frequent drizzle or light rain and overcast mornings. Brighter breaks do appear in the afternoons, but passing bands of moderate rain can still move through. Temperatures are mostly in the teens, feeling cooler under persistent cloud.
