The Pennine Way usually has a mix of weather in July, mostly with light rain and cloudy skies. Temperatures are mild, averaging highs of 15°C to 19°C and lows of 8°C to 11°C. It rains consistently but not too heavily, averaging 1.7 mm to 6.3 mm each day.
In the southern and central parts, like Edale, Crowden, and Standedge, expect patchy rain, cloudy days, and some sunny moments. It’s a bit warmer here, with highs around 17°C to 19°C.
Moving north to places like Thornton-in-Craven and Malham, the weather stays variable but tends to be more cloudy and rainy, with similar mild temperatures.
In the northern areas, including Greenhead, Once Brewed, and Kirk Yetholm, you’ll still see patchy rain and cloudy weather, sometimes with heavier showers. Throughout the journey, expect mild temperatures and moderate rainfall without any big changes.
