The Spiritual Variant of the Camino Portugués is a route that goes through parts of Portugal and Spain. If you travel this route in January, you can expect a lot of different weather. You'll probably see a lot of wet and cloudy days, but you might also see some sun.
You'll probably see a lot of rain, some light, some heavy. You might even see light freezing rain. But you'll also see sunny or partly cloudy days that can be quite nice.
In terms of temperature, it's quite mild for winter. The warmest it will get is around 13°C at the start of the journey, dropping to 10°C by the end. The coldest it might get is 8°C at the start, going down to around 3°C by the end.
Regarding rainfall, you'll see an average of 13.6 millimeters a day at the start in Tui. This will drop to about 9.4 millimeters a day by the time you reach Santiago de Compostela. So there's less rain as you move along the route. But be ready for rain throughout your journey.
