The weather during your trip on the Camino Portugués Interior will generally be sunny and warm, with temperatures from 24°C to 32°C in the daytime, and 13°C to 17°C at night. There could be some changes according to different places you visit.
In Lisboa, the start of your journey, the weather will be sunny and warm with little rain, with temperatures around 25°C in the daytime and 17°C at night. This is the same for the next places: Alpriate, Vila Franca de Xira, Azambuja, and Santarém.
In Golegã and Tomar, the weather could change, and there might be some more showers. The temperatures will still be warm, with highs of 30°C and lows of around 16°C.
The weather will stay the same when you go through Alvaiázere, Alvorge, Cernache, Coimbra, and Tondela, but the rain could get worse, and temperatures will be between 28°C to 29°C in the day and 15°C to 16°C at night.
During the hottest summer month, as you pass Viseu, Almargem, Ribolhos, Bigorne, and Lamego, the days could get as hot as 32°C. There might be some moderate to heavy rain showers as well.
As you travel further to the North, through Santa Marta de Penaguião, Vila Real, Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Vidago, and Chaves, you’ll have sunny weather with some rain showers. During daytime, temperatures will be around 30°C and at night they will drop to 14°C to 15°C.
When you cross the border to Spain and reach Verín and Viladerrei, you'll see more sunlight and some cloudy days. The daytime temperature will be around 31°C and nighttime temperatures will drop to 14°C.
Moving forward through Xinzo de Limia, Allariz, Ourense, Cea, O Castro, and finally Santiago de Compostela, you might experience more rain. But there will be some sunny days too. The daytime temperature will drop slightly to around 24°C in Santiago and nighttime temperatures will be between 13°C - 15°C.
