If you decide to walk on the Camino Primitivo route, starting in Oviedo, get ready for many types of weather. There'll often be cloudy skies with some rain. There are also frequent periods of rain, making this journey wet. However, you can also expect some sunny days in between, especially in the upper areas of Asturias.
When it comes to temperature, the lowest can be around freezing point (1-5°C), and the highest can be between 11-14°C. But remember, in mountain areas like Tineo, Borres, Berducedo, and climbing into Galicia, it can be colder. So, make sure you are ready for cold weather.
Galicia's weather is not much different, with lots of clouds and some rain. Same goes for places like A Fonsagrada and Lugo. Rain is common there, and although the average temperature can be slightly higher (around 4-5°C and up to mid-teens), nights can still be cold.
Lastly, as you get closer to Santiago de Compostela, expect more rain and fewer sunny days. Here, temperatures can be between 5°C and 11°C on average.
