The Camino Primitivo starts in Oviedo and ends in Santiago de Compostela. In January, the weather changes a lot. When you start in Oviedo, you'll see a mix of sun, clouds, and somewhat rain. Temperatures are usually 4 to 12 degrees Celsius, with some heavy rain at times.
The weather is a bit sunnier in places like Grado and Salas, but there can also be heavy showers and rain. Here, it can get a bit colder, with lows of 8 degrees Celsius.
As you move further inland to places like Tineo, Borres and Berducedo, the weather changes more. There is still a lot of sun but also heavy rain, and temperatures are mostly between 6 to 12 degrees. There is also a bit more rain.
Moving west, you'll see more clouds and colder temperatures, from 2 to 9 degrees, in places like A Fonsagrada and O Cadavo. It can even get below freezing with some rain.
Finally, when you reach Ferreira and finish in Santiago de Compostela, the weather is mostly cloudy and it rains a lot. It's also colder, with temperatures from 0 to 10 degrees. The end of the route is the wettest part.
