Bavaria

From the lowlands into the Alpine foothills, skies are often overcast with frequent snowfall interspersed by drizzle or light rain. Early along the Lech the weather swings widely, with daytime highs from about -10°C to 14°C and nights between roughly -13°C and 8°C, and occasional wet days delivering up to about 40 mm. South toward the Ammer region, cold snaps deepen with lows near -20°C and highs commonly between -10°C and 9°C, though brief mainly clear spells appear between snowfalls. Closer to the Alps around the final Bavarian stretches, snow becomes more persistent with moderate to heavy bursts around 12–19 mm, highs from about -12°C to 12°C, and only short sunny windows.

Tyrol

Over the Seefeld plateau and down the Inn valley, February remains dominated by overcast and recurrent snowfall, punctuated by brief clear breaks; daytime temperatures range from about -12°C to 13°C with nights down to -19°C. Continuing up the Wipptal to the pass, repeated snow events alternate with quieter periods, daily totals often around 4–13 mm. Through the Brenner, nights generally stay below 0°C and days vary between -10°C and 8°C, with cloud prevailing and only occasional sunshine.

South Tyrol

South of the pass the month starts cold and cloudy, with intermittent snow; highs rise from around -5°C near the crest to the low teens in the Eisack valley, and nights run from about -16°C up to 3°C. Around the mid-valley, snowfall episodes can be substantial (often 4–17 mm in a day), but there are also clear or partly cloudy interludes that lift daytime temperatures toward 14–16°C.

Across the plateau and into the Adige valley, conditions turn markedly milder and often dry, with frequent overcast or sunny spells; highs commonly reach 12–18°C and nights hover near 0–6°C. Even here, colder outbreaks still produce snow or cold rain, with isolated heavy days around 20–27 mm. Farther southeast toward the Valsugana, mixed cloud and clear spells persist, culminating in a late heavy snowfall of roughly 31 mm.

Veneto

Dropping into the Brenta valley, cloud and light precipitation dominate; the foothills see periods of snowfall with daily amounts up to about 18 mm, while highs vary widely from 2°C to 19°C and lows from roughly -5°C to 6°C. Crossing the plain, overcast skies and intermittent drizzle or light rain are typical, with occasional colder snaps bringing daytime values near 1°C and nights down to about -7°C. Near the finish, a generally cloudy pattern continues, and one soaking day brings around 42 mm of rain.
