South toward the Ammer region, cold snaps deepen with lows near -20°C and highs commonly between -10°C and 9°C, though brief mainly clear spells appear between snowfalls. Closer to the Alps around the final Bavarian stretches, snow becomes more persistent with moderate to heavy bursts around 12–19 mm, highs from about -12°C to 12°C, and only short sunny windows.
Over the Seefeld plateau and down the Inn valley, February remains dominated by overcast and recurrent snowfall, punctuated by brief clear breaks; daytime temperatures range from about -12°C to 13°C with nights down to -19°C. Continuing up the Wipptal to the pass, repeated snow events alternate with quieter periods, daily totals often around 4–13 mm. Near the finish, a generally cloudy pattern continues, and one soaking day brings around 42 mm of rain.
