Lower Saxony

From Stade through Harsefeld, Zeven, and Schneessel to Soltau, October days are often overcast with frequent light drizzle and spells of light to moderate rain. Highs commonly reach 13–20°C with occasional warmer surges near 22–24°C, while nights settle around 5–12°C. Rain varies from mostly dry days to wetter bursts around 10–17 mm, with a few clearer intervals.

Continuing via Bergen, Celle, Rietze, and Braunschweig, the pattern stays changeable: grey spells punctuated by showers and brief brighter breaks. Highs fluctuate between 12 and 20°C, lows 3–13°C. Short, heavier episodes occur, including single‑day totals near 30 mm around Rietze and around 18 mm near Braunschweig, alongside many days with little or no rain.

Bavaria

Crossing the Tauber uplands via Aub, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Schillingsfürst, Feuchtwangen, and Dinkelsbühl, temperature swings are sharper. Frost is possible, with lows down to -5°C, while mild surges can send highs to 22–23°C. Drizzle is common, and occasional heavier rain reaches roughly 16 mm around Schillingsfürst; a brief wet‑snow signal appears near Rothenburg during colder snaps.

From Nördlingen through Donauwörth and Mertingen to Augsburg, overcast days alternate with light rain and a few dry intervals. Highs mostly sit at 10–16°C, with lows 2–8°C and isolated frosts to -2°C. Heavier showers occur at times, with single‑day totals near 20 mm around Donauwörth and about 16 mm around Mertingen, before quieter spells resume.
