Lower Saxony

From the northern start into the Geest, skies are often overcast with frequent light drizzle and occasional brighter intervals. Highs vary from 16–28°C and nights 9–16°C. Brief downpours interrupt the drizzle, with daily totals around 13–14 mm on the wettest days in this early stretch.

Continuing south through heath and toward the Harz foreland, the mix persists: mostly cloudy with intermittent light to moderate rain. Temperatures swing from cool mid-teens to a warm surge near 30°C, and several days reach about 10–14 mm before one very wet day around 16 mm near the mountains. Overnight values settle between 8–16°C, trending cooler with elevation.

Thuringia

Crossing into the state, cloud and drizzle alternate with short sunny windows. Highs range 14–30°C, and localized bursts bring about 22 mm in the north and roughly 17 mm farther west, while other days stay mostly dry under overcast. Changeable conditions continue toward the center with on and off light rain under stubborn cloud.

Through the forested foothills, showers and periods of steady rain recur, topping out near 16 mm on the wettest days and around 12 mm nearby. Daytime temperatures often sit 12–23°C, with cooler nights 4–14°C. Farther southwest, overcast dominates but several dry windows appear, and a brief warm spell reaches about 27°C before cooling again.

Bavaria

Entering northern Bavaria, cloud remains prevalent with frequent light drizzle. Highs are generally 14–24°C, though an early spike touches about 28°C, and nights fall to 5–12°C. Heavier pulses occur at times, up to roughly 17 mm around the Saale valley and near 14 mm along the Main.

Southward through the Main–Tauber hills, alternating dry intervals and showers persist. One of the wetter days brings around 15 mm, while neighboring stretches see recurrent light rain broken by brief clear or partly cloudy spells. Daytime highs hover near 15–23°C, and nights dip to 2–10°C on higher ground.

Approaching the Ries and the Danube, the wettest burst arrives, with about 22 mm near the volcanic basin and roughly 14 mm downstream, followed by another day near 10 mm. Skies vary from overcast to short bright breaks, and sporadic showers continue into the final city with occasional moderate rain around 9 mm. Highs settle near 10–21°C, and lows fall to 4–10°C by month’s end.
